It seems that our food is such a mystery to non-Hondurans here!… what is it.. how is it… is it Mexican… is it spicy.. is like (guess any other food) and I keep telling… our food is ….not spicy, not Mexican, Honduras has a very unique flavor of that is a combination of Indian-Caribbean-Spanish-African influences, all rolled into one with the cumin, coriander, turmeric, annatto, bullions, garlic and green bell peppers… and there is the cooking methods as well… and yes!!! as part of Mesoamerica our staples are corn, rice, beans, plantains, bananas, yucca! now… my point: HOW DO I EDUCATE NON-HONDURANS ABOUT OUR FOOD? HOW DO I TAKE OUT THE FEAR FACTOR? WE OFFER A CULTURAL FOOD EXPERIENCE FOR THOSE WITH AND ADVENTUROUS TASTE.
