Ortanique on the Mile is a family owned  Caribbean fine dining restaurant, which has been open since July 1999. The concept started with a little hole in the wall on Lincoln Road in South Beach called Norma’s on the Beach. .Our chef Cindy Hutson was just going through a divorce and was looking for a career change and her partner Delius Shirley was looking to follow in his mother’s footsteps of opening restaurants. Little did we know the couple would turn out to be a dynamic duo.

At Ortanique, we believe our establishment must provide an all-inclusive culinary experience. Meaning, from the moment you walk through our doorways…the warm sunset yellow, burnt sienna and rich mahogany greet you. Cindy Hutson brings the flavors of the tropics to you by sharing some of her award winning “Cuisine of the Sun,” dishes. Enjoy the “recipes of the month” and try them for yourself!
