Those who are familiar with Jamaica probably know that Dunns River Falls is one of the most popular tourist destinations on the island. But even if you can’t get away to the tropical resort area, you can experience a taste of authentic Jamaican culture and cuisine at Beltsville’s Dunns River Cafe.

Owner Gus Powell opened the restaurant in December 2001 after ending a career in corporate America.

The restaurant’s theme ” Where the food is fun and dining is like a stroll on the beach” is printed on our menus and reflects the casual atmosphere of the restaurant.

Among the most popular dishes with diners are the Ox-tail stew, the jerked chicken wings, curried chicken, and many more.

Our expectations are to expand to new locations and to continue educating people on Jamaican culture and cuisine.
