Cigar City Brewpub opened April 1st 2013 with the simple goal of giving Tampa great food to go with great beer. Our menu is a little Cuban, a little Southern, a little Italian and all Tampa. We aim to provide a welcome and casual environment for our guests to enjoy a good time with their friends and family.

OUR BEER
Head Brewer Nick Streeter has been in the Cigar City family since 2013. After working in all facets of production at CCB he quickly found his calling in brewing. His talents in this area were clear early on when his homebrew recipes quickly became staff and customer favorites. In late 2015 he was tapped to become the head brewer as Cigar City Brewpub and has continued in the tradition of creating unique and exciting beers for Brewpub customers.

OUR FOOD
Our food can best be described as Tampa-style Cuban cuisine, which differs in many respects from Cuban-influenced dishes from other regions like South Florida, coupled with Italian and German influences and of course Florida Cracker. A great example is the addition of salami on Tampa’s iconic Cuban sandwich and the unique palm frond split Cuban bread produced in bakeries like Tampa’s La Segunda. At Cigar City Brewpub we celebrate and pay homage to this unique heritage by making Tampa’s native dishes the cornerstone of our menu.

OUR APPROACH
Chef Gerry Malynowsky’s mission is to offer a handpicked selection of the farmers’ finest wares highlighting locally sourced and humanely raised meats free from adulteration such as hormones. This dedication to local purveyors and sustainable practices combined with small batch, house brewed ales, hand crafted cocktails and a celebration of Tampa’s one of a kind history, cuisine and culture inform all we do at Cigar City Brewpub.

We firmly believe that any one item is nothing more than a sum total of its details, from the obvious to the subtle. With that in mind it is our attempt to consider every detail as we craft your food and beverages alike. From house-made pickles and house-roasted local pork on our Cuban sandwich to the house-made soda selection, we strive to consider every detail. Our beer is made with food in mind and our food is made for beer. Our passion and dedication to our craft drives us in everything we do.

OUR TEAM
Russell Simons is the General Manager of the Brewpub, with 20 years of experience in bar and restaurant service.  His knowledge of spirits and mixology is only rivaled by his understanding of craft beer and it’s pairing with innovative meals.  Russell has worked for iconic institutions such as, The Beach Chalet brewpub in San Francisco, Tampa Bay Brewing Company, and Dempsey’s Steak House in Wesley Chapel.  He ensures, with his personal touch, that each guest  has a memorable dining experience at Cigar City Brewpub.
