Alpha African-Caribbean Food Store is the first solely African-Caribbean Food Store in the Mid and North Vancouver Island. It is set up to provide basic service to the Vancouver Island Community by the way of creating easy access to African Food. It is based on this desire that we provide home delivery free of charge within Nanaimo. The service has been an instant success not only among the African-Caribbean community but also Caucasians and Asians.

The heritage of the African diet is to eat unprocessed food with no chemical additives. Agriculture in Africa is still based on the traditional system so most products are organic in the real sense of it. Most of our products are sourced directly from Africa with all the above benefits. Eating fresh is another important part of the African diet. To deliver on this we have been working with local farmers across the Island to get fresh animal and plant produce. British Columbia with less severe weather is a perfect location which makes us very optimistic of delivering on this.
